The last few years I wasn’t super excited about celebrating the Fourth of July. I skipped wearing red, white, and blue, and kept it low-key by staying in and watching the fireworks from my apartment in downtown Los Angeles. Fast forward and things are drastically different. Billy and I moved to New York after living in L.A. for years and last August my parents purchased a beach house in Westbrook, Connecticut. It feels amazing to see the country moving in a more positive direction and after over a year of lockdowns and Covid restriction things are finally getting back to normal. On July 4th, my
Every year I look forward to purchasing summer clothing just as much as I anticipate the long hot days and endless summer nights. Going back and forth between my apartment in NYC and my parents’ beach house in Connecticut, I’ve been buying everything from swimsuits and dresses, to jewelry and sandals. Below are 20 items I’ve recently bought to wear in the city and at the ocean. 1. Lost + Wander sundress. An asymmetrical hem, a delicate floral pattern, and a flattering empire waist. What’s not to love about this sundress? 2. Show Me Your Mumu bodysuit. A simple white bodysuit, but the ruffle adds
With so many beauty products on the market all promising to do specific things, it’s hard to know which ones are worth investing in. What skincare ingredients should we look for in the products we use each day? The answer is going to be different for everyone because we all have different skin concerns. Some of us are dealing with fine lines and wrinkles or uneven complexion. Others are dealing with dark spots, acne or loss of volume. It’s common to attempt to correct these things but if we apply the wrong product it can cause an even bigger issue. Below I’ve outlined 22 beneficial

Recently, I wrote about how I use my Apple Watch and the various ways it makes my life more productive. I outlined how I set goals for myself, close my three rings each day, track my workouts, and 20 interesting facts. Since I purchased it a few months ago I’ve been experimenting with different Apple Watch apps to find out which ones best suit my needs. Below, I’ve broken down my favorites into three categories: fitness, wellness, and lifestyle, and I’ve highlighted why I love (and recommend) each of them. Apple Health—Recently, I talked about how the deciding factor in purchasing my Apple Watch was
Summer is officially upon us and that means long days spent lounging at the beach or by the pool. With that comes shopping for new swim apparel. We’ve created our annual swimsuit guide that’s filled with flattering one piece swimsuits and bikinis in various colors, patterns, and textures (think tie-dye, marble, space dye, metallics, stripes, and more). Because we know that everyone looks for something different when searching for the idea swimsuit, we’ve included a variety of silhouettes like a high cut leg, full coverage bottoms, cheeky bottoms, triangle tops, halter tops, tops for fuller busts, wrap detailing, deep v’s, just to name a few.
Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. It doesn’t matter if it’s a quick day trip to an unknown city or a 14 hour flight to an exotic country; I love doing both. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit Italy, Ireland, and Mexico, but I have more places on my bucket list that I can’t wait to see. With the pandemic under control and having spent the previous year locked indoors, I’ve been thinking a lot about where I want to vacation next. My dream is to travel the world while experiencing each country’s culture, cuisine, traditions, fashion, and daily way of life.
In 2020, I spent part of my summer at my parents home in Massachusetts. Each afternoon I’d do walking laps in their pool and I would count the number of steps I took. Once I was finished, I’d add them up and input them into my iPhone. As ridiculous as it sounds, it helped me keep track each day. I didn’t stop there, though. Rarely I’d be seen without my cell phone glued to my hand, and it wasn’t because I was addicted to social media, it was so I could record my steps. Then, in the beginning of March after an almost year long
Taking a road trip is more than just a drive, it’s an entire experience that’s filled with memories and exploring hidden areas on the way to your destination. You can blast your favorite music, take in the beautiful scenery, and stop at numerous roadside attractions. To me, the drive itself is just as much fun as vacationing at my destination. This summer, my boyfriend and I will drive to Joshua Tree. Although our trip is short when compared to some of the other adventures I’ve embarked on, I’m still using the same tools to plan for this voyage. Whether I’m driving a few hours away
Mother’s Day is fast approaching and we’ve picked out our top choices for the special women in your life. Our recommendations are a little different from previous years in that everything on our list is a themed subscription box filled with amazing products.
