What I Loved in June

A collection of things I loved in June, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between.

Last year I went back to the town that I grew up going to every summer, and it was as if my family and I never left. Our beach vacation to the Connecticut shore was nothing short of incredible and I loved being able to share this unique place with Billy. A couple of weeks ago I started planning this year’s trip. After being locked indoors for what seems like forever, I can’t wait to get away. This year will be different though. My family just purchased a beach house and I don’t have words to describe how excited I am! This has been something I’ve wanted since I was a young child. Billy and I will be leaving at the end of July, and we’ll be staying at the Connecticut shoreline until Labor Day. Look forward to lots of beach-related content!

I bought this Beis Travel Wallet from Revolve a few weeks ago. It matches the metallic makeup case I received this past Christmas. I can’t wait to use both of them for the first time this summer.

Growing up at the CT shore, I remember there was always a puzzle set up that we would all contribute to. After spending the day on the beach, I’d come into the cottage and work on it before dinner. Fast forward to now—I love Gray Malin’s photographs of picturesque scenery and the light and airy colors. When I discovered this 500 piece double-sided puzzle, I purchased it to bring with me.

After being stuck indoors, I was searching for the ideal summer TV show. One that would mentally transport me to a seaside community pre-COVID-19. I found that and more with Hightown. Set in Provincetown, (which is in Cape Cod, Massachusetts), this drama has it all. Murder, drug dealing, and addiction, all taking place in this colorful coastal town.

My sister introduced me to Online Ceramics, a Los Angeles street style label specializing in punk (DIY looking) t-shirts and sweatshirts. When their Black Lives Matter tee popped up on my Instagram feed, I purchased it right away. I’ll be wearing it to the next L.A. march, and best of all, they donate all the proceeds to B.L.M.
