Six Euphoria Makeup Looks That Are Easy to Recreate

Ever since Euphoria premiered in 2019, I’ve been obsessed. When season two was announced last fall, I was ecstatic—my Sunday night TV show was coming back after a long hiatus because of Covid! I had so many questions after season one’s ending and, of course, I re-watched it during the pandemic. Aside from the intense and realistic storylines that cover topics like drug addiction, sexuality, domestic violence and friendships (all involving teens)—the gritty drama stands out for its bold take on makeup and fashion choices.

Recently, I watched a video where Euphoria’s makeup designer, Doniella Davy explained her thought process for creating the cast’s iconic looks. Still intrigued, I searched to see if any of the actresses had tutorials of their own. I also looked for beauty vloggers that did an amazing job copying these glitter and rhinestone-inspired looks. Below, I linked six of my favorite videos that are informative but not too intimidating. I’ve also included all the bold and sparkly products you’ll need to recreate them.

PS: Follow Euphoria’s makeup artists Doniella Davy, Kristen Coleman, and Alexandra French, and manicurist Natalie Minerva, for a behind the scenes look.

Alexa Demie shares her everyday makeup routine, along with her favorite products. Her key tips: “bake” under your eyes, you can never blend too much, and always wear lip liner.

Makeup artist Nelly Toledo perfectly captures Cassie’s rhinestone wing eyeliner. Her key tips: use pinks and peach shades, apply tiny gems to recreate Cassie’s look, and get them to stick with eyelash glue.

Hunter Schafer who plays Jules and makeup artist Nina Park created three summertime eye looks. I could picture Jules wearing all of these on the show. Her key tips: Use a small tapered brush when applying to the inner corners, circle your brush to diffuse, and blend on your hand first and apply with your finger to warm up the product.

Inspired by Zendaya’s character Rue, vlogger Sara Paul recreates her glistening sparkly eye look from season one. Her key tips: go for a more natural look by skipping foundation and wearing BB cream instead, use pearlized purple and pink shades, apply glitter tears with a brush and it’s okay if they’re messy.

Alexa Demie teams up with MAC to share her iconic dramatic eye and bold lip look. Her key tips: Start on the outer corners and work inwards while circling your brush, use brown shades in your crease for a subtle definition, and use a potted liner and an angled brush when applying winged liner.

Beauty vlogger Julia Salvia recreates Maddy Perez’s bedazzled hair and eyes she wore with her cheer outfit. Her key tips: Use a sticker sheet when applying jewels to your hair, trace out the shape on your eye and then fill with shadow, use an applicator and good quality stones.
