For pretty much the first half of 2020 my daily attire consisted of loungewear and athleisure. Anytime I shopped, I found myself looking for comfy sweats, hoodies, and sweaters since I was trying to leave my apartment as little as possible. Then, this spring, when more things began opening up, I started planning my trip out to the East Coast. I decided I had enough of the unofficial Covid lounge attire and planned my wardrobe as if we weren’t in the middle of a pandemic, which I’ve continued to do for autumn and the upcoming winter months. My thought process is this: just because there are so many unknowns and so much has changed this year, waking up each day and putting on a complete outfit just as I would have in 2019 and the years before gives me a sense of normalcy. Here are some of my favorite looks of 2020.
