I think it all started with my love for the movie Marie Antoinette. The scene where she’s eating all the desserts, made me want cake, éclairs and macaroons ASAP. I had heard of Bottega Louie, and one day I was walking out of the apartment I had just moved into, and saw it was a few blocks down the street and decided to walk in. OMG…I became obsessed! It takes a lot of self-control to not walk in every time I pass by and order one of their desserts or buy a box of macaroons. Last year I bought my sister and my mom aRead More →

Growing up on the east coast, fall has always been one of my favorite seasons. The leaves turning, the nights starting to get cooler, sitting by the fireplace, knowing that Christmas is around the corner… Fall in Los Angeles, is quite different. As I type, it’s currently 76 degrees outside. I still try to take what I love about fall and make new traditions. A little while ago my friends and I reserved tickets to The Broad museum in DTLA. Artists featured there include Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Ed Ruscha, Kara Walker, Christopher Wool, Jeff Koons, Cy Twombly, Joseph Beuys, Barbara Kruger,  Cindy Sherman, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, plus many more. We weren’t able to get into the infinity mirrored room. Hopefully next time. Here are some of my favorites… On the second floor they have a gift shop that sells coffee table books, games, ornaments, jewelry, tea cups, pictures, and other cool things. We then walked across the street to the Moca museum and had lunch at Lemonade. The have THE BEST truffle mac & cheese! Xx.KristieRead More →

Working in fashion PR, I never leave home without my essentials. All of these things are either in my work bag or in my desk. I can’t count the amount of times I’ve needed each and everyone of these. Here’s the list… 1. Post-its. I’m always jotting down notes on these, sticking them all over the office. I buy them in bulk. Post-it® Notes, $20.99 2. Safety Pins. We do a lot of photoshoots and sometimes the clothes don’t fit the models how we’d like. These come in handy in hiding that. $2.49 3. Laptop. I bring my laptop to work and all my work is done on it. It makes itRead More →
