Long gone are the days of the traditional red and green Christmas; they’ve been replaced with tons of pink and bright bold colors. When I’m searching for decorating ideas, Eloise and Barbie are some of my biggest influences. I also look for projects that won’t take a ton of time to create since December is such a chaotic month. There’s holiday shopping, packing and planning my annual trip to NYC and Massachusetts, and trying to get all this done before I leave. This means I don’t have a lot of time to decorate my apartment but I still want it to look trendy and festive.
The holidays are right around the corner but purchasing the perfect presents can be stressful and time consuming. No need to worry though, our Holiday 2018 Gift Guide features curated gifts with a variety of price points for everyone on your list (even those that are hard to shop for). Each week we will be posting our themed gift guides to give you suggestions on what to get your friends, family, girlfriend, or boyfriend this season! <3 A Girl in LA
My Thanksgiving usually consists of my boyfriend and I going out to dinner or ordering a ton of takeout and binge-watching Holiday movies. But since we’re not able to make it back to our home states like a lot of our friends, we’ll host a brunch the following weekend. It’s the ideal way to celebrate the start of the holiday season. As a Type A person I thrive on organization and planning. I have never been able to do things spontaneously and that’s why I’m a big fan of goal planning. Whenever I think of something I’d like to achieve I’ll jot it down in my iPhone or in my planner. At the end of each month I’ll look over what I’ve written down and I’ll create a list of goals that I would like to achieve for the month ahead and when I want to accomplish them by. These are the goal planning tools I use: The SMART acronym: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely.

I look forward to the “me time” I spend on Sunday afternoons doing my nails while binge-watching a favorite TV show. For inspiration I’ll watch Youtube tutorials on nail design and I follow nail technicians on Instagram. When I have extra time, I’ll apply nail decals, or do little designs. Depending on the time of the year, what I’m doing, or where I’m going, I have specific colors I use that correlate with the occasion. Here are my tried-and-true manicure steps, along with my go-to colors
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is a business self-help book I was introduced to during my Business Management program while in school for fashion design. I was never thrilled to have to read for class, but I became hooked on this one. It’s written by Stephen Covey and became one of his best-sellers, selling over 25 million copies worldwide. After reading it, I became inspired, and I felt heavily influenced to align my goals and ambitions to these habits. The 7 Habits are as follows; Be Proactive, Being with the End in Mind, Put First Things First, Think Win-Win, Seek First to Understand,
